Things to Remember

  • The name of the file is what the name of the button will be on the splash screen.

    ie. My File Name.pdf will be a button named "My File Name"

  • You can burn any type of file to the disc. Including shortcuts to specific pages on your website!
  • It is always a good idea to test your CD before giving it to a client. Just reinsert the burned CD into your computer and see if the files appear as buttons.
  • Your computer system may vary slightly from these directions.

Burning Files to CD

Instructions on how to burn files to your Splash Screen CD from ASI Business Group.

Step 1: Insert the CD Step Two: Close Splash Screen Step 3

STEP ONE:
Insert the CD into your computer's CD Burner Drive.

STEP TWO:
Close the Splash Screen file view window if it auto-runs.

STEP THREE:
Select the files you want to burn to the CD. (You can select multiple files at once by holding down the CTRL key)

STEP FOUR:
Right Click on the selected file(s). Choose "Send to" from the drop down menu, then select "DVD RW Drive (D)" from the list of options.

STEP FIVE:
On the bottom right hand side of your screen in the task/tool bar you will get a notice balloon letting you know that you have files waiting to be burned. Click on the notice.

STEP SIX:
This opens a window and the file(s) you sent to the DVD RW Drive will be listed under the heading "Files Ready to Be Written to the Disc".

STEP SEVEN:
Click "Burn to Disc" this will launch your computer's disc writing wizard.

STEP EIGHT:
You have the option to choose a title for your CD. Click Next.

STEP NINE:
You will get a window that shows you the progress of the files being written to the CD.

Step 10 step 11

STEP TEN:
The CD will be ejected when the files are done being written. Click Finish.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Your files now appear as buttons on the CD's splash screen and is ready to be given to your client.
